What I Did Today

Today, I made my first semester schedule c/o Microsoft Word. I can’t believe I’m in third year already! Time certainly flies so fast! My Tuesday schedule is a bummer. :( Anyway, at least I don’t have to be stuck in traffic every Friday in Quiapo! :D

Aside from doing my colorful schedule, I also made my name stickers! I just love the tape strip designs I found! Heehee.

Summer is Over

I know summer is over when..

  • I wake up snuggled up with my old comforter - not perspiring, just wanting to sleep some more
  • I take a bath and the water coming out of the shower is ice cold - even in the middle of the day
  • The air conditioner has not been turned on for weeks
  • My mom asks me to make name stickers for our books, notebooks, and school supplies
  • I am on plastic cover duty again (which I love doing, I’m not complaining)
  • There’s a sudden rush of hang outs, outings, and get-togethers
  • I crave (if there’s such a thing) for new “back-to-school” shoes
  • I start to sleep and wake up earlier
  • PAGASA says that the rainy season is just around the corner. HAHAHA.

On another note, I truly enjoyed my summer vacation. I thought of having summer classes, but I am glad that I did not push through with it (just yet). This would be my last summer vacation too, because of our upcoming practicum next year. Sigh. But oh well. I enjoyed and had fun, but now it is time to study again!

Meet Ate Yema :)

“Has anyone of you heard of this ‘Ate Yema’? Reportedly, she is a UST nursing graduate, a registered nurse, who passed the board exam with a 9th-place finish, and is currently a graduate school student taking an MA course in Nursing. Admirable and impressive enough, right? But there’s more: she did all such feats on top of industriously selling sweets, like pastillas and polvoron, to students around the campus and she does so to help her mother who prepares the sweets she sells. And many students have loved her sweets. The beautiful result of this is that she has captured the interest of many UST students and, not surprisingly, she has inspired them. “
